Welcome to the July 2023 edition of WHO's newsletter on the Prevention and Response to Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment ( PRSEAH [https://www.who.int/initiatives/preventing-and-responding-to-sexual-exploitation-abuse-and-harassment]). Our goal is to keep Member States, civil society partners and all other stakeholders fully informed on the status of WHO’s work to prevent and respond to sexual misconduct.

Bienvenue dans l'édition de juillet 2023 du bulletin d'information de l'OMS sur la prévention et la réponse à l'exploitation, aux abus et au harcèlement sexuels (PRSEAH) [https://www.who.int/initiatives/preventing-and-responding-to-sexual-exploitation-abuse-and-harassment]. Meet Anju Pandey: WHO Regional Adviser for prevention and response to sexual misconduct in South-East Asia

Anju Pandey is a feminist, humanist and a gender trainer. She joined WHO’s Regional Office for South-East Asia in March 2023.

In her new role, Anju is working with her team to embed the 10 actions in WHO’s Three-year strategy for the prevention and response to sexual misconduct [https://www.who.int/publications/i/item/9789240069039] in a region she sees as having vast socio-cultural diversity.

Anju Pandey est féministe, humaniste et formatrice pour les questions de genre. Elle a rejoint le Bureau régional de l’OMS pour l’Asie du Sud-Est en mars 2023.

Dans ses nouvelles fonctions, Anju travaille avec son équipe en vue de faire appliquer les 10 mesures figurant dans la stratégie triennale de l’OMS visant à prévenir et à combattre l’inconduite sexuelle [https://www.who.int/fr/publications/i/item/9789240069039] dans une région où, selon elle, on trouve une grande diversité socioculturelle.

The prevention of and response to sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment – referred to by WHO as sexual misconduct – can only be effective if all UN and humanitarian agencies work together. WHO contributes to UN-wide efforts to address the risk of sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) posed by the hundreds of implementing partners who deliver on behalf of the UN system.

La lutte contre l’exploitation, les abus et le harcèlement sexuels, désignés par l’OMS sous l’expression : « inconduite sexuelle », ne peut être efficace que si tous les organismes humanitaires et les Nations Unies œuvrent ensemble. L’OMS contribue aux efforts déployés à l’échelle des Nations Unies pour lutter contre le risque d’exploitation et d’abus sexuels posé par les centaines de partenaires d’exécution qui agissent au nom du système des Nations Unies.
